This Wheeled Work Seat Is Up To The Task

If you work on your car on a regular basis then you probably own a mechanics creeper to help you slide underneath to make repairs. Or, if you’re really serious about maintaining your ride then you may have your own electronic car lift at your disposal. The more dedicated to maintenance that you are, the more likely your arsenal of auto mechanics stuff is loaded.

For the rest of us, those folks who change tires, replace brakes and rotors, or just like to keep our cars cleaned, there hasn’t been too many products developed for light duty work…until now.

Last month, I was introduced to a new product, something called the Rugged Roll Work Seat. Developed by Step 2, the same company who made our children’s outdoor play station, this wheeled work seat is certainly a practical and useful product.

Strong enough to hold my 190 pound frame, the Step 2 wheeled work seat is perfect for tending to the lower area of your car without having to kneel or sit on the ground. Because it rolls into place, it puts the user at a perfect height to work on wheels, examine the muffler, install fog lights, and more.

As much as I am amazed at this product’s ability to hold my weight and move me into position, I like that it has a carrying tray underneath where I can keep my tools, a rag, or just about anything else that I need. What’s more, there are two embedded carrying trays on top which can be useful for putting WD-40, car cleaner, or other larger tools that won’t fit underneath. If you like to have cold beverage on hand while you work, the molded-in cup holder can handle a 12-ounce aluminum can perfectly; a conveniently placed carrying handle makes moving the work seat around a snap.

The Step 2 Rugged Roll Work Seat is made out of sturdy polymer, strong material that can stand the pressures of weight and time. Automotive decals can be strategically placed on the sides, a special touch for motorsports fans.

Gardeners are probably already familiar with the company’s Garden Hopper, a similar item perfect for weeding, planting bulbs, or trimming back plants. If you don’t have the Garden Hopper and you like to work on your car and on your garden, the Rugged Roll Work Seat can do double duty.
