New Racing Enthusiast Site Launches
This past week I put the finishing touches on my latest work, Finley Racing, a website with the race car enthusiast in mind. Initially launched in 2003 and owned by an actual race team, I acquired the domain last year at auction. Thus, the site isn’t related to any particular team, though that team may warrant an occasional mention.
With A Focus On NASCAR
Right now, Finley Racing is covering NASCAR happenings as well as offering advice to everyday car owners who are looking to soup up their rides. Along with pages dedicated to manufacturers such as Chevrolet, Ford, Toyota and Dodge, the website has articles about replacing an oxygen sensor and using a performance air filter.
I’ll be exploring other avenues for the website, perhaps moving into specific team and driver news before venturing out to other areas including Formula 1, Grand Am, Indycar and other racing news. Right now, I want to focus on my core news and see how the site is responding.
Giving Motorsports Its Due
Previously, I shared some NASCAR news on my flagship automotive site, The Auto Writer, and had considered adding that information here. However, I think that you’ll agree with me that having a dedicated motorsports site is the best approach so as not to have that news get mixed in what with I write elsewhere.
Finley Racing now represents my third major automobile site in addition to several smaller sites that are already active. But, I’m not stopping there: I’ll be adding a pair of model specific sites in the coming months and may eventually acquire a forum to add to my portfolio.
Remaining Active With Several Publications
I’m still writing for a pair of regional magazines and have sent my clips to a few other publications as well. I’m also part of SEAMO, an automotive writers group and have been writing for an automotive client since August of last year.
I look forward to “seeing” you over at Finley Racing; I appreciate your support on Auto Trends too.
