Cadillac CTS-V Goes On Sale On November 1st
The Fastest Cadillac Ever

The second generation Cadillac CTS-V will make its debut on November 1st. The sedan promises to live up to all of its hype and then some.
Arriving November 2009
The long awaited second edition of the fastest Cadillac ever — the CTS-V — will be making its debut in less than ten days from now. This all-new sports car, the fastest production sedan on the road, is powered by a 6.2L V8 engine, a slightly detuned version of the motor that drives the Z9 Chevrolet Corvette.
Priced from $59,995, the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V features Magnetic Ride Control, dubbed the fastest reacting suspension in the world. Good thing too as the CTS-V zips from 0 to 60 in just 3.5 seconds and completes the quarter-mile in just 12 seconds.

The Z9 engine found in the Chevrolet Corvette is planted in the CTS' engine bay, slightly detuned but potent nonetheless.

The CTS-V's cabin features Obsidian black trim and microfiber accents. A six-speed manual transmission is standard or buyers could choose a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

You'd expect the best with the CTS-V and Cadillac has paid a lot of attention to detail with this model including installing Recaro performance seats.

Brembo braking and Michelin PS2 high-performance tires is standard equipment with the CTS-V. Add in Magnetic Ride Control and what you have is a sedan that effectively blends performance with safety.
Additional Cadillac Models Will Soon Arrive
The CTS-V will soon be joined by two additional models — a sport wagon and a coupe — further enhancing what perhaps should be called the most significant Cadillac model of all time. In addition, Cadillac will be updating its crossover model, the Cadillac SRX, introducing the second generation of this model sometime in 2009.
