Dodge ZEO: The Look of Things to Come?

The 2008 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) or Detroit Auto Show for you dieharders, is typically the launching pad for America’s three major automakers to debut key vehicles including showcasing whatever concepts they want the public to see. This year, Chrysler was actively displaying three models the Chrysler ecoVoyager, Jeep Renegade, and the Dodge ZEO.

All three models incorporated state-of-the-art design techniques with emphasis on style and fuel saving techniques.
The Dodge ZEO (zero emissions operation) concept vehicle is a 2+2 gull-wing all-electric vehicle with a 250-mile range. Though the technology for relying on this type of battery is probably reserved for pricey cars such as the Tesla Roadster, the ZEO is the styling direction Chrysler wants to take over the coming years.

Whether Chrysler (or anyone else) will be able to pull off the technological challenges to producing a battery with a long range remains to be seen, but the design side of things could become a reality.
I doubt that the ZEO itself will ever see production, but I can see styling cues taken from the ZEO and used for other vehicles in the MOPAR fleet.
