Gadgets

The automotive world is changing rapidly, thanks to new technologies which are bringing almost unimaginable products to the cabin of your favorite car, truck, van, SUV, or crossover vehicle.

Ford SYNCToday, we have navigation systems such as the Ford SYNC that allows you to call anyone in the world, find directions to a nearby Indian restaurant, and call up all of your tunes hands-free. Sound systems rival, even surpass what you can find in your own home, and safety improvements in the form of brake assist, rear back up cameras, pivoting headlamps, and tire pressure monitors are finding their way on even the most basic models.

TRWOf course, many of the products being embraced by consumers aren’t even offered as standard or optional equipment, gadgets which range from the barely useful (french fry holders) to the interesting (sun visor TV/DVD, FM radio transmitter). Many of these gadgets add value to the driving experience, making long trips or even hops across town much more bearable.

At Auto Trends, we’re always keeping our eyes open for everything that is new, different, interesting, even silly when it comes to car gadgets. From time to time we’ll post this information to this site and, if you have something you would like to share, invite you to fill out our contact form and send what you have to us. If we decide to go with your story, we’ll give you our thanks and full attribution.

We live in amazing times, a time when many of the toys and tools James Bond used are coming to life. That’s what makes automotive gadgetry a fun topic to cover!
